Ocmulgee National Monument protects and preserves "Lands commonly known as the Old Ocmulgee Fields," which documents a 17,000-year continuum of people in their Middle Georgia environment.

Our Mission

Today many people continue that partnership with the National Park Service to further enhance the educational and interpretive programs at Ocmulgee. Since 1942, the volunteer, membership supported Ocmulgee National Monument Association has provided the resources to further sustain this immensely valuable national cultural and historic resource. ONMA strives on a daily basis to bring awareness and recognition to the beauty and wonder that is Ocmulgee National Monument.
