Our Mission

Since 1942, the volunteer, membership supported Ocmulgee Mounds Association (OMA) has provided the resources to support the educational & interpretive programs at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park.  Our funding comes from museum store revenue, OMA memberships, events, donations and grants.

OMA support ranges from interpretive visual aids, clay, and rack cards to funding the Lantern Light Tours, Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration,  Every Kid Outdoors and Cultural programs.

Additional support includes the river cane restoration project, the park sign at the Emery Hwy entrance, the Outdoor Classroom, and the canoe exhibit. Our goal is to make investments for long-term, meaningful impact.
