Two people walk the Lantern Light Tours at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park with crowd behind them.

Lantern Light Tours

The Lantern Light Tours is held yearly during Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival.  Grab a lantern and stroll along the luminary lined path from the Visitor Center to the Great Temple Mound. Join us for interpretive talks at the bridge, Earth Lodge, Trading Post, and Great Temple Mound sites.  Step back in time to meet costumed characters with ties to Ocmulgee's rich history. Learn about the 17,000 year history of Ocmulgee and the people who lived here.  Tour the Museum exhibits and 2,000+ artifacts.

Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration

The third weekend in September welcomes a gathering of Southeastern Native American craftsmen, dancers, storytellers, living history demonstrators and others with ties to the region and Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in Macon, Georgia.
